Mozilla has been released Firefox 8 in this end of this year. It is Mozilla''s fifth major release in 2011. After releasing Firefox 4 in March, Mozilla adopted a rapid release schedule similar to what Google employs with its Chrome browser. Probably this is the last version of Firefox in this year. The big problem of using Firefox is the waiting time when start up. Firefox take much time to start up compare with Internet Explorer, Opera, or Chrome Web Browser. Mozilla always promises that next version will have faster start up then previous version. But in my opinion the speed of start up is not increase significant. It is still loose compare with another browser.
Your computer get slow on startup after using for a while. It's happened because there are many program that also launch when you turn your computer on like Google Updates, Real Media Player, Winamp, Antivirus program, etc. If you want to disable the program then you can go to the program and find option do not start when Windows runs. If you don't find that option then you can go to computer system by type msconfig from Start -> Run. But this method is not recommended for end user.
Mozilla has released Firefox 6 as last stable Firefox version. There is not much major different on interface and feature between Firefox 6 and Firefox 5. But you may surprised if you look at the change log that shows 1,300 bug fixes (which includes feature and developer tooling adds).
